Confirm the airport and terminal on your flight booking, then use the signed official transport pickup area. For a first arrival with luggage, our simplest suggestion is a licensed taxi with your hotel’s Chinese address ready.
Check the name on your flight
This guide covers Gaoqi Airport (高崎机场), terminals T3 and T4. Check your actual flight booking before travelling: an airport development announcement is not confirmation that your flight has changed airports.
Save your hotel’s Chinese name, full address and phone number before departure. Ask the hotel to specify the correct entrance if it has several buildings or a difficult-to-find reception.
Follow signs to the taxi queue
Xiamen Airport’s taxi page lists the city-taxi queue near arrival-level door 7 at T3 and door 3 at T4. Follow current signs or ask airport staff if the layout has changed.
- Go to the signed taxi queue after collecting your bags.
- Show the driver your hotel’s Chinese name and address before loading up.
- Confirm the destination and ask about payment if your preferred method is uncertain.
- Keep the receipt and check the car for your belongings before leaving.
Our recommendation is to use the official queue rather than a ride offered by an unsolicited person inside the terminal.
Bus, ride-hailing or a booked transfer
For public transport, open the airport’s official transport page and compare the route with your hotel’s location. Verify the last departure and where you will need to walk or change vehicles. This page does not offer live departures or a fixed taxi quote.
For an app-booked car, match the pickup zone, number plate and vehicle with the booking. A map pin close to the terminal does not necessarily identify the correct pickup level.
For a hotel-arranged transfer, ask for the meeting point, driver contact, waiting policy and total price in writing before travelling.
If you arrive late or your phone does not work
Use the airport information desk to check which official services are still operating. Do not build a late-night plan around an old bus timetable.
Show your saved hotel card to staff and ask them to help identify the official transport pickup. Keep enough information offline to make a decision even if your payment app or mobile data is unavailable.
