What this guide is for
Xiamen Travel is an independent English-language guide for travellers who want to get online, make a payment, reach a hotel and find the right ferry without guessing their way through unfamiliar systems.
We are not a tourism authority, government service, ticket agent or emergency response service. The site does not accept bookings or payments.
How information is checked
Guides link to their official or primary references and show the date those written sources were reviewed. We prioritise the transport operator for routes, the service provider for account instructions and the relevant authority for entry rules.
Our practical checklists are editorial suggestions. They are kept separate from the sourced rules so you can see what the operator says and what we suggest preparing.
What has not been tested
The first edition is based on written-source research. We have not completed every flow using a foreign passport, foreign bank card and overseas phone number, and we have not inspected individual SIM counters or hotels.
A review date means the referenced information was checked; it is not a guarantee of today’s availability. Apps, boarding arrangements, weather and entry policies can change. Check the live service before paying or travelling.
